Do you want to be treated like royalty?

I am addicted to massages. Isn’t everyone? I used to go to frequent The Spa at libis. However, it got to be such an expensive treat that I could only indulge about once a month. And with my back hurting all the time, I had to turn to massages to get relief.

One time I was passing by Pioneer in Mandaluyong, I chanced upon a small paper ad that advertised Home Massages. I was a bit wary at first because of all the urban legends that told of falling asleep during your massage and waking up to an empty home as the masseuse just stole everything you’ve ever owned. But then my pain was greater than my fear so I tried it. Since then I’ve been hooked.

And since then I have been enjoying my massages at home. I would love to think that I had some contribution to the boom of this business in the Pasig, Mandaluyong area but really, home massages has been in the works for years (or so my massage therapist tells me).

Massages at home costs half of what you would pay to get them at your local spa. And with the increase in these businesses, competition has been fierce so the service really is increasing in standard. They used to use only cheap massage oils, now you can take your pick from the various oils they bring with them. The massage therapists also carry their own towels, wear uniforms and masks when working on your body that you will feel as if you were being serviced at a spa (well… minus the steam bath).

The good thing too, the home massage companies now also offer competitive discounts. For example: Get 30 mins free if you take the 1.5 hour massage. Or things like that. So in the end – the clients can only be satisfied.

For more information on home massages or if you want to try it – drop me a note and I will be happy to give you the number of my masseuse.

[...] We arrived for our appointment an hours later than our schedule but the clean air and the quiet surroundings made us quickly forget the tension that the drive over gave us both. The compound was located at the far end of a dirt road at Barangay Ayala, Magalang, Pampanga. The lot was abundant in trees, plants, and flowers. The airy cabanas that could be seen scattered around the place were made to complement the lush greens. As if the they were designed to be engulfed and protected by the forest that surrounds them. Yes, it was quiet indeed. But isn’t that what we came for (aside from the pampering treatments)? [...]
