Gretchen Barreto, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Paris Hilton
… what do these women celebrities have in common?
Gretchen Barreto and John Estrada scandal. A few days ago, pictures of Greta and Jon in what appears to be a display of intimacy, were circulated to the masses via the internet. Sisters, close friends, showbiz acquaintances have all been supportive and did everything they can short of admitting they were the ones who maliciously distributed the pictures. And here comes Jon, apologetic, taking in the responsibility, shouldering the burden and all the fault. Gretchen? She’s the victim here or so she has acted like it. But looking at the pictures – the “victim” is too comfy for the role. I wonder why everyone turned overprotective of her? For fear of Tonyboy’s talons? I can imagine Gretchen’s knees shake the minute she saw what happened to the pictures.
Ruffa Gutierrez vs. Ylmaz Bektas. Last month, the news broke out that Ruffa and Ylmaz have agreed to part ways. The news did not merit the tag “scandal” as the decision appeared to be mutual. Then things started to heat up as skeletons in the closet came out of their hiding places. Apparently, Ruffa was already married to another man, and on the other side – Ylmaz beat the crap out of Ruffa. All I can say about those two situations is: (1) I believe that Ruffa is capable of being married to another man without Ylmaz knowing about it (and I’m right!) and number (2) Ruffa is the prettiest wife that is being beaten by her husband. Imagine, no scars, no burns, no evidence of the torture that she so blatantly narrates. I mean a ton of concealer will never successfully hide 15 hours of beating. And asking the President for assistance? As if our country did not have more serious problems than yours.
Paris Hilton vs. the state of California. I dont think I have anything more to add to the countless articles and posts that have been written about Paris’ run-in with the law.
I mean really now – who in their right mind would expect to do something stupid and then get away with it? Duh! I guess the Hilton money cannot buy freedom anymore. It just goes to show how the people are wisening up with regards to letting certain personalities get away. DUI’s are taken seriously in the United States and Paris should not be exempt from the penalties. Nor should Nicole Richie (who also has a DUI) and Lindsay Lohan (who I believe has several) be exempt as well. Who ever said that being a beautiful model, celebrity and star indicates your life is not bound by the law? Apparently, in a lot of places – beauty is the ticket to the easy way out… don’t we all know it!

I tend to believe Yilmaz’s claim that Ruffa’s married to another man before him and that marriage wasn’t annulled. Ruffa’s claim that Yilmaz is beating her is hard to prove since she doesn’t exhibit the telltale signs of a beaten wife. Yilmaz, however, do exhibit signs of being a possessive husband, which is dangerous and could also lead to wife-beating. But weighing the present evidences, I think they could be both telling the truth but that Ruffa is exaggerating a bit about being the beaten wife part. Yilmaz’ claim can easily be verified by looking up certificates of marriage at NSO.
judy – Well I dont know about that as she isn’t likely to be poor. But I still think Gretchen loves playing with fire and if she isnt careful – she might get kicked out of tonyboy’s life.
tess – I also believe that Ruffa was married to another man and that Yilmaz got really pissed enough to slap her when he found out. So yeah I also believe Yilmaz is the type to be rough but cant imagine how beating can be done as long as 15 hours without stopping because if that was true – Im sure that Ruffa would have been unconscious the first hour of that beating… and is she saying that Yilmaz kept beating her even while she lay helpless? Even rough people lose steam.
Ruffa and Gretchen are notorious party girls. Apparently, they’ve not develop good quality character or they won’t keep getting into mess. They’re almost identical copy cat of the Hilton, Lohan & Spears group, partying and drinking debauchery. Ruffa and Gretchen are heading into big time trouble and they are just asking for it. They don’t need to look for trouble, it will find them. Gretchen has more trouble as she has become very arrogant, pompous and confrontational as someone has commented and I agree. A real prima donna. I’m afraid she would be heading into trouble water soon.
Sensible celebrities are mostly engaged in some notable civic works and live their life with real purpose and are useful. They are admire for their worthy contribution to society. Those who didn’t learn from the past are bound to repeat it and some of them are now looking very wasted. Take a look at Farrah Fawcett, an alchoholic and the many like her and we see the picture of those who recklessly wasted their life. As the saying goes, fame, beauty and riches are fleeting. Those girls need to be mindful that they don’t deserve anything and should act responsibly or they’ll lose everything. It is when we think we deserve the blessings we receive that we start to get into trouble. Where and how will they be a decade from now? If I’m a betting person, I would bet that they’ll on the wayside, full of heartache and mostly forgotten. Somebody told me that Satan, the most prideful person in the universe, doesn’t want anyone to be notoriously in the limelight. There must some truth to it if we think of the early demise of Bruce Lee, James Dean, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and the sudden downfall of Khayoggi, Marcos, Nixon, Erap and the rest. Also, the many CEO of companies like Enron, World communcation that are now in jail. I guess we can safely say that we shape our destiny by the quality of decisions we make. Life is a gift and we must show appreciation by living a godly, honest and caring life. When all things have been said and done, only the quality efforts we have made in life will count.
The question is, where’s Kuya Chris? :p
On Gretchen – She’s obviously cheating on Tonyboy. But then, I’ve never liked her from the start so I have this tendency to see the worst on people like her. And geesh, I find her pretentious with all these crying and paawa effect of hers.
On Ruffa – She’s one person I’d love to hate, but I find her kaartehan nakakatawa (as opposed to Gretchen na nakakainis). She admitted that she got married first. I just can’t believe everything that comes out of her mouth, especially about the role of being a battered wife (kung occasionally lang yung pagbugbog, baka maniwala pa ako, pero…geesh, ganda ng concealer niya ha).
On Paris – Serves her right. I just wish she could have gotten at least a year, haha.

GRETCHEN NEED A REAL GOOD MENTORING. SHE’S CLUELESS HOW TO LIVE A PRODUCTIVE AND RELEVANT LIFE. IN HER CAPRICIOUS MIND, PARTYING, SHOWING OFF AND FIGHTING WITH OTHERS IS HER WAY OF LIFE. SO SAD. SHE SHOULD ENGAGE IN SOME CHARITABLE WORK TO FIND FULFILLMENT. RIGHTNOW, WHAT SHE NEEDS IS A GOOD LONG SPANKING. A REAL BRAT.
Honestly I symphatise on what happened to dear Paris (being one of her minions lol) especially when I saw her on the news crying. Anyway, I do hope that she learns something from this experience.
@chase – I’m sure it isn’t easy for Paris being born with all the luxury she is used to. And because of that I am also hopeful that she has learned her lesson. If she hasnt then there really is no hope for her.
Three things they have in common:
1. Using their puss err faces to get what they want. LOL

CELEBRITIES SHOULD WAKE UP AND LEARN TO BE GOOD ROLE MODELS FOR THE COUNTRY. RUFFA , GRETCHEN AND MANY OTHERS ARE JUST WASTING AWAY THEIR PRECIOUS LIFE. IT’S NOW VOQUE OR “IN” AMONG THE RICH AND FAMOUS TO THINK OF CHARITABLE WORKS TO HELP OTHERS. IT’S COMMON IN THE WEST TO HAVE FUND RAISING TO SUPPORT THEIR GOOD WORKS. LOHAN,HILTON & SPEARS ARE SHUNNED AWAY AS STUPID BRATS WITH NO DIRECTION IN LIFE. IT IS EVIDENT FROM THE DRUG & ALCOHOL REHABILITATION, JAIL AND HOSPITALIZATION RECURRING SCENE THAT WE SEE. IT’S INTERESTING WHAT WE’LL SEE IN RUFFA AND GRETCHEN 10 YEARS FROM NOW. LIVE A USELESS LIFE OR LIVE FOR THE GOOD OF OTHERS?

i think ruffa has done more than enough charity works. she has spearheaded so many and with her position she should be emulated by many! so?? she got married twice and got divorced twice…im sure she has her reasons! at least the men were mn enough to propse and she is married! gretchen on the other hand loves being a kabit…kabit here and there. why doesnt tony marry her? lets see 3 years from now…fast forward and see where they will be.
lynn – I really can’t say why gretchen has chosen the path that she is treading right now. What I can say though is that sometimes, we make unpopular choices and she must be made of strong stuff to have made such an unpopular decision. My 2 cents.
