Taste Asia Part II
I don’t know what is with Taste Asia and my health but everytime there is a blogging event there I seem to get very sick. My sore throat started thursday morning when I arrived at work. I thought nothing of it. By lunch, I had lost my voice. By early evening I was having chills and felt the onset of fever. But I resolved not to miss another big event so I took meds and lots of liquids and braved the chills.
It took us an hour through rush hour traffic to reach Mall of Asia, only to park on the wrong side of mall ending up having have to walk a thousand miles to where Taste Asia is (on the other side!).
We arrived as friends of Aileen and it was really funny how my husband was listed as my guest instead of another blogger. I think he was peeved at that but he can’t blame me… he asked me to sign the both of us up. Hehe.
We entered the party place and were welcomed by Doc Tess, L.A., Jeff, Billycoy, and Darwin who were sort of situated by the door. With the loud music and the loud chatter I realized it was going to be hell on my throat because I can’t imagine not having to respond when people came up to me to say Hi. Thanks Darwin for putting up with me. It must have been hard reading my sign language.
I met Joe who was very nice to put up with my hoarse voice - like Darwin - but did not get what his blog was about. I looked him up in the bloglist and picked him to be sephthedreamer.
I also saw Eric, Nina (who had the cutest business card!), Dine, Noemi, Marc and Gail, Marcelle, Benj, Aileen, Eugene, Karlo, Jayvee, Jun Asis, Juned, Lauren, Liz, Rico and Sasha, and Jomar.
I was excited to see the famous Ganns who is several pounds lighter I must say. I also saw friends I have missed seeing like Joni and Mae. Joni and I even talked about how we miss those small, intimate blog parteehs. It was sort of the same conversation we had the last time in January. I guess it is harder to forge friendships in large crowds.
I saw that they were with Riz of pinkseo… I was starstruck. I love her pinkness.
Shari and her brother arrived much later than we did but it was great to see them all the same.
SM Hypermarket had tons of goodies to giveaway and even we were able to bring home a bag of goodies. So the night actually ended in a high note. But walking back to the parking lot, we ended up with sore feet and a horrible sore throat for me.

The famous Ganns?! You’re too too kind.
I actually wish we could’ve hung out more, but you seemed really set in with your group - the popular kids! - and we wallflowers preferred to just stay on the sidelines. Hehehe.
Let’s meet up again soon!
ayun may entry na sa SM event. haha.
malamang pass pa rin ako sa christmas and new year get together. wala eh, stuck in singapore.
nux si apples naki-picture sa mga tweens!
L.A. - Masaya rin naman yung Tasta Asia pero hoping pa rin meron sa Christmas at New Year. Hehe.
Ok na ako. May boses na… kaso kumakahol naman ngayon.
nina - Ako rin. Sana meron kaming ganyan dito sa bahay. O kahit sa office man lang. Actually ang pinakamagaling yung nas-store sya online and you can download it. Pero katawa mga posings natin.
ganns - Sira ka talaga. Actually ako yung shy no so I kinda stood with all the people I knew. And because I did not have a voice, I thought I would have a hard time trying to talk to new peeps. (Excuses!)… Pero I swear payatot mo na! Inggit ako.
aj - Nakakatawa ka naman e andyan ka nga sa Singapore. Sige palit tayo! Huwehehe
jeff - Kainis ka! Tweens din naman ako ha… hehe feeling.

Eugene - Hi! Its weird coz I actually just saw you once then you sort of disappeared. Or I did. See you next time!

Sexymom - Nice seeing you too! I hope to be like you and bring my sons too to such events.
Aw, onga eh. Mas intimate yung dati. Ok lang naman kahit madaming tao, pero sa malaking place nmn, yung di siksikan at di standing ovation hahaha. It was nice seeing you again, Apples!
Next time ulit ha.
Joni - Oo nga. Like you sobrang sakit ng paa ko after all the standing. My back ached too. Hayy… See you next time!
