Schick Intuition razor
I am thankful for the day my friend taught me how to shave. Although maintenance is a pain, the benefits are endless.
It was also a good thing, I was in the states when I was first learning how to do it right. They have all the nice tools you can use there to make a newbie lose all apprehension.
They have razors whose blades were covered with wires so that the blades do not come in contact directly with your skin. They have shaving cream, shaving foam, shaving gel. The skintimate brand came in cool colors of pink, lavender, blue and green. Now who wouldn’t be motivated with that?
I have been using my trusty old Schick Silk Effects razor for years. I had to ask friends and relatives in the states to keep me supplied in refills so I have not been totally deprived. I also wasn’t forced to use those disposable razors that are available at the grocery. There was one time when my refill supply got delayed that I was almost tempted to buy this pack of pink disposables. However, I was too much of a coward to submit my skin to the risk. Especially since I have clumsy hands. LOL.
A couple of weeks back, I have decided to give in and find a replacement for my purple friend.
I saw that the Schick Intuition was already being sold locally so I set my sights on getting myself one.
The Schick Intuition simplifies shaving by smoothing and soothing your skin with every stroke. The revolutionary cartridge contains triple blades surrounded by a unique Skin Conditioning Solid that lathers and shaves in one easy step. So easy, in fact, there is no need for shave gel, soap, or body wash!
I became intrigued by the ad the first time I read it. It was the reason I decided it was the perfect replacement for my old razor.
The Schick Intuition had a white solid mass surrounding its blades. I wasn’t sure what it was but it creates a slippery and soapy cover on your skin as you shave. I felt like pushing the razor deeper into my skin as I could not feel the blade and assumed that I couldn’t achieve a close shave. I was wrong.
I watched as the fine hair disappeared. When I was done, not only were my legs hairless, they were also soft and smooth. I loved it! It is indeed true. You do not need to use any kind of shaving cream, foam or gel to use Schick Intuition.
But not all is good. Although I absolutely love it, you won’t be able to shave at any time. The perfect time would be when you are having a shower because the blade needs to be wet and your skin needs to be wet for it to be effective. But that’s a small thing compared to smooth, awesome legs. Right honey?
I wonder if it is good to use in the bikini area? Hmmm…

did you have a problem cleaning the blade as I did? the soapy thing around the blades will melt if you clean the razor in water. how did you clean your blades?
Abbey - Maybe if you have it in water for a long time. What I do is run it through the shower for a short time so that the force of the water can clean it out quickly so that it does not melt the whole thing.
ApplesH - Thanks for the tip. I was afraid if I kept cleaning it in water, the entire gel/soap would melt right off. And I kinda didn’t think about that since I’m used to the old Effects plus myself.
Hi, where can i buy refills for schick intuition?
Ysa - You can buy them at SM Supermarket, Robinsons Supermarket (Not Big R), and Watsons.
