Perfect Cover-up

Are you like me? Do you wish you had the perfect body? You know, ample perky breasts, cute little booty and toned abs like you worked out regularly? Ok keep wishing. Well for those who ARE like me, then a little bulge should not hinder us from being our most fashionable or most confident (my hubby is actually looking at me right now like I’m being weird or something – Men!).

Since I am still working on getting back to my pre-pregnancy body (yeah right!), I needed a way to upgrade my wardrobe to contain pieces that would compliment my current body type. I pushed my baby tees and body huggers to the back of my closet and opted to buy classic tops that fell loosely over my body but fit enough to still hug my curves giving me the same femininity as my old tops.

I was looking for a particular looking top that would accomplish all I have just listed above but had a hard time finding it in the usual clothes stores that I go into.

SM Department store actually provided me with the best find I had during my shopping day. The black frilly top was hanging at the back of several other blouses so it really wasn’t shouting at me when I passed it. I was looking for another cashier counter when I saw it peeking out of the clump of other tops. I grabbed it, tried it, fell in love with it and brought it with me to the cashier. Who wouldn’t grab the chance at a good buy for Php 500++?? Quite a deal eh?

I wore it for our family reunion and paired it with dark skinny jeans and stilettos. Because it was loose, I was able to move comfortably wearing it. It was a tank top so it showcased feminine lines. It was layered thus covering up the bulges successfully. It has the color of chic and sophistication and perfect for an evening party even if the guests were 60% kids and toddlers.

I’m definitely loving this piece right now and see myself spending a lot of time wearing it here, there and everywhere. Ha!
