Inside the mind of a woman

If you arrived here looking for answers to solve your problems with men, then you might be disappointed. I cannot solve your problems for you. I will however share some stuff about men that many of you may agree to (or not) or maybe have been wondering about and need someone else to voice it out for you.

Have you ever wondered how some women are able to get men to run around them in circles? No, its probably not because they are extremely gorgeous, as most often, they are just normal. Many would utter an often used cliche such as “she’s got sex appeal“, as if she was born with such qualities bestowed upon a select few. I don’t believe sex appeal is what distinguishes these women so much men single them out from the thousands they can choose from. I simply think these women have that certain instinct about what men really want. I also believe these women are just so in tune with their own beauty, sexuality and self-esteem that they can freely adapt to the different kinds of men that they encounter.

It takes a special kind of skill, and woman to be able to tell what kind of men will be attracted to her at first sight, or by her smile, her movements, her laugh, and which kind will need a closer encounter, an investment, to allow for conversation where the man will eventually be attracted by her wit or her depth or sob story. I remember many beautiful, gorgeous and sweet young women from way back who turned 18 and had never had a boyfriend since birth. Its a sad thought but really some people are so clueless about what makes men tick.

And really if men find it too hard to decipher how women think, its the total opposite for men. Men have a one track mind. Their wants are as simple as a the wants of a two year old and its a rare occasion that you would find someone who’s waters run deep. Their needs in turn are simple as well as they are unlike women who flourish in variety and spontaneity. So if you agree with some of the things I list here, raise your hands and holler yeah! And if you don’t well, then feel free to add your input and I hope to learn more about men that I may still have not learned in my so many years of existence in this world.

• Men are attracted to attractive women. Beauty is relative to the eyes of the beholder (in this case men). While models and celebrities fall into the category of physically attractive, your everyday man will more likely focus on one part of a woman – be it her face, her neck, her lips, her eyes, her chest, her butt, her legs, her feet, even non-physical attributes like her laugh, her voice, her smile. I have a friend who is not too much into women who sport double D’s but admits to having a weakness for a pretty flawless face. I know one guy from college who does not mind a far from flawless face as long as she smells flawlessly awesome. My husband actually prefers the J-Lo’s of the world no matter how flat her chest could be.
• In line with the first point, men hate it when women let themselves go. So ladies, please, never be too comfortable that you have to put your man through the ordeal of watching you do something you will otherwise never do in public – like pick your nose (eeww). And never ever forget to refresh your supply of scents and fragrances. I mean would you stay with a man who smells like he hasn’t taken a bath in a month?
• Wealthy men mingle with similarly wealthy men and women and unless you belong to the same circles, then honey wake up, Cinderella and Maid in Manhattan are great for entertainment and telenovelas are man-made. If you aim to bag a man above your league, go back and read what I said about how it takes a special kind of skill… yadidadida. Its not impossible but there’s a lot of work you gotta do to make it happen (unless you already rub elbows with them).
• Men want women who will be supportive to them. Come on, haven’t you realized how insecure men really are? So if you are so against a particular man’s work, activities, sport, religion or way of life, then darling find someone else as…
• Men don’t change just because we want them to. They will however change but only to how much they are really capable of.
• Men love to be challenged but hate to be put on the spot, embarrassed or made to look stupid (even if they actually are).
• Men have basic needs and just wants those needs fulfilled.
• Men think about sex all the time. As soon as you come to terms with that, the sooner you will understand what makes men tick.
