Unfortunately 38C
I was hesitant at first to start writing this post because I expect many would resent the fact that I dare complain about something many women actually pay to have. But its been a while and I have heard others complain of the same thing. So here goes. There are times, I wish I had a normal sized bosom. By normal, I mean similar to the majority of the local females who are able to buy stylish underwear without having to save a month’s worth of wages (an exaggeration as I assume you know).
Okay, so now I am ducking for fear of being struck by lightning. Forgive me, but don’t you believe that it is frustrating to be this bosom-blessed in our own country? The main reason? There is no decent local brand that manufactures brassieres that fit C-cup and beyond. Not that there are no stores selling those, in fact many imported brands do. Check out Wacoal, Maidenform, Marks and Spencer, La Senza. These brands offer sizes that go until the 4th letter of the alphabet and even double that because these days, anything considerably less than that is looked at with pity.
For a nation inhabited by not-so-flat-chested females, I wonder why local manufacturers never thought to make money out of such a necessity to women. With women being a strong (if not strongest) consumer population, I’ll bet it will make some businessman a ton of money to actually focus on such a product. Stop with the flip flops, we know they’re great already! Start selling gorgeous bras that actually fit and make tons of money!
For years, I have had to put quite a bit aside so I could get myself some proper support. But really some of these products cost about Php3K! Each! Imagine buying one for everyday of the week, that’s Php21K! That would be all good if I could actually afford to spend that kind of money. Alas, belonging to the working class does not allow me to indulge in expensive lingerie. And good luck getting the hubby to buy me one. He would rather buy me my most coveted elba cooking range than spend on something that you would think he would enjoy looking at (or.. well, wink wink).
I just recently found out though that Bench Body has actually beefed up their line of brassieres and now offer sizes up to 38C. With their cute designs and affordable prices, I now think that there is hope for the locals. I haven’t actually bought one yet but I do love the designs and colors of their new line. Check it out ladies, it costs less than Php500. Now that’s a steal!
** Oh and before I go, the title of this post is just that, a title.

girl, that’s my size as well HAHAHAHA it used to be the bane of my existence, but i have come to terms with it and have accepted the fact that i have it for free and not through some miracle of science.
but you are completely right about the difficulty of finding the perfect bra. i like wacoal the most, all my good ones are that brand and i horde them during sale events hehe
i am motivated to write something about this too… we girls should stick together!
I know what you mean… I am now happy with La Senza.. they have D’s. hihi
finding a good bikini top is also hard… the designs are limited for our size.. tsk! others are just too skimpy for my taste. bottom line is… we need to spend more for the gift that we have…
shallow – Right! Don’t you feel frustrated at times? I cannot even complain at home coz one of sisters is really thin and flat (Cheers sista!).
We really should stick together. Maybe then some businessman will hear and make a business out of our need. Wouldnt that be great?
seksi – I love the La Senza styles but have not actually bought one for myself. You said it right about bikinis! I always wished I could wear those string bikinis that offer a small triangle for cover but sigh* I always have to get either a tankini or those full cover tops.
i use bikinis with underwire. there are some with hidden underwire as well.
i have styles similar to these: http://www.shopstyle.com/browse?fts=underwire+bikini#
and i find that the support will keep me from “accidents” because they stay put. you might notice that some of them are pretty skimpy too, so we don’t have to shackle ourselves to full-cover or tankiki tops
there are underwire bikinis from so many brands, from speedo to arena to sassa to tiangge. mine range from 400p to 3500p and they have served me well
shallow – I have a pair too which is underwired. Did you ever experience getting a bikini with the top perfectly fitting and the bottom too big? Well mine is like that. I love the underwire top but have not been able to use the bottom, even during the time I was pregnant, it was simply too big!
laki ng cup size natin ah.
@pinoyloveforum – di ko naman size yan.
Wacoal is masyadong expensive compara sa ibang brands.
Friendster-Beauties-Dot-Com – Unfortunately it is quite expensive. I cannot blame them as they are truly imported products and you can really tell how different the make is than the local brands. I guess if some local manufacturer can produce the same quality at a cheaper price, Im guessing they will be making tons of money.
hi apples, yes, there are some styles where the top and bottom don’t seem to match in fit. some bazaars though can be very considerate. there was one where i found the style i liked, i asked them if i could get a different size for the bottom and they said yes. sometimes it’s just in the asking…
i had the same problem in a sportswear outlet. what i did was just get the matching board short shorts in a different size. the top with the short shorts look as if they really came together as a pair.
I know, can be such a pain getting something nice that doesnt cost an arm or a leg. I know my bf hates waiting around whil eI look and struggle to find
