Make your mama proud
No, this post is not related to this famous band. This post is just that… making mama proud.. the mama being me.
I went to my kid’s school today for the standard parent-teacher meeting that happens at the end of each semester.
The meeting went like most meetings like this would go. We talked about my kid’s progress in school, his behavior, his quirks, his friends, the stars, the reprimands, the observations. There really wasnt anything I needed to be worried about.
So why am I writing? I guess because the meeting was about my eldest son, and because its my first “graduation”. If you can call completing pre-nursery a graduation. LOL.
Another reason is that, talking with my son’s teacher gave me the strongest affirmation that I had done something good in my life.
She praised my kid saying - Your son has gone a long way. From shy and clingy to playful and independent. He is also very behaved in class, cleaning up after playing, never mean to his classmates. His advancement in writing skills is also surprising. I am lucky to be his teacher.
Imagine that.
I am indeed a proud mama. There is nothing greater than knowing my kids are growing up as great people.
