My diamond peel experience
Everyone knows I am kikay. One look at me and many will say… Ahh, yes you definitely are. Because I am like that, I take great effort to take care of myself and to try to look good. I am very particular with the clothes, the makeup brands, the shoes, and the skincare I buy for myself. I also make sure that my body gets a good de-stressing by getting a good massage once in a while or visit spa’s to get a quick facial.
But… this is the first time that I have experienced the diamond peel.
Diamond peel is a non-surgical method of encouraging skin renewal. This treatment uses a wand with a disposable diamond tip that propels crystal flow to the skin and also vacuums away the dirt and dead skin cells.
I had mine at the Clarity Aesthetic Center. The attendant first slathered some cream that was cool to the skin all over my face. She then wiped it off after giving my face a quick and light massage. Then she turned the machine on and I just felt this pencil-like thing on my face. Then I felt my flesh being sucked by that pencil bit by bit. It wasn’t painful at all mind you but I felt awkward at first. Since I could not see what was being done to my face, I really couldn’t tell what all the vacuuming was doing to my skin. I doubt that whatever was being removed was visible to the naked eye. After about 30 minutes, it was over. She showed me the “dirt” that was removed from my face and I saw a very small wad of cotton that was black with the dirt she said came from my face. Oooowwwws - I was tempted to challenge her.
I looked at my face and it was red and raw (or at least that’s how it felt). But my skin felt lighter and somehow cleaner. I was told to ensure I put on sunblock so that my skin does not get sun-damaged.
About three days later, I finally noticed the difference. My skin had always felt thick, and slightly grainy… there was dirt on it all the time regardless how much I scrubbed it clean. Also, there used to be spots on my face that were so dry they were actually peeling. And of course I have the large pores and the white heads and black heads. Now… I cannot keep from touching my face. My skin feels so soft and smooth. My pores have been diminished to oblivion and my nose is free from white heads - as in!
So ok. I am a believer. I guess that’s why many celebrities have such good skin. I am sure many of them go through the same if not similar procedure to take care of their faces, especially since its mostly their faces that sell. Now I can have my own diamond peel session at an affordable price at the Clarity clinic.
I am totally loving my face right now… hehe.

how much is a diamond peel treatment?
kikoy - the diamond peel costs P1,800 at Clarity.
I wanted to have diamond peel din sana since we’ll be having prenup photoshoots soon kaya lang ang mahal hehehe…happy mother’s day apple
liz - O nga! Perfect for you. I think Clarity clinic offers a cheap price already compared to like Belo. I wouldn’t recommend na you go to a really cheap place kasi baka naman di maganda mangyari sa skin mo. Think about it coz its really worth it.
Thanks!
really mawawala talaga yung white and black heads? that’s my problem kasi… hay…
gemsy - Oo promise! I think nga if I make this a regular routine, gaganda ng todo yung skin ko. Kaso yun nga lang investment talaga kasi medyo gagastos ka. But thats just the same as buying a new pair of shoes or new clothes or makeup.
really? i’ll give it a try nga
thanks apples! thanks din sa mga blogs na pinopost mo, i really really enjoy reading them kasi i learn something new whenever i visit your blog site. thanks thanks
and keep writing good stuff!
Hi gemsy! I am glad you find something you could learn from everytime you visit my blog. If nothing else, that actually makes blogging so much more worthwhile.
Hi! Found your blog from following your link @ Ms. Noemi’s blog.
My mom didn’t have a great skin when she was younger so I was puzzled how she began having a smoother face - until recently when I discovered what she’s been doing all along! Diamond Peel! I couldn’t get a Diamond Peel for myself because I (at least used to be) am pimply so what I got from Skin Nutriance Center was a Glycolic Acid Peel treatment which is perfect for those with pimples and an oily skin. Just 3 sessions of it and I really noticed beautiful changes in my skin. Hehe. Seems like I will be a lot more kikay now. I no longer have lots of pimples and I’m eyeing to get a Diamond Peel Treatment very soon. =D
Oy thanks for your experience. Now I have the guts to try it now. I have this gift check from a very reputable skin clinic but I am afraid to try it especially during the hot summer months. I will use it next month when the sun isn’t so bright!
Noemi - Yes I would recommend that you try it when its not so hot out. These days (rainy season) are perfect. Or if you will try it today, make sure you put on dollops of sunblock. My daily sunblock is SPF50 already so I didnt have to buy a new one.
Since my face is really oily and prone to impurities, I plan to make this a monthly thing.
Is that 1,800 Diamond Peel at Clarity is good for one session? I’m planning to try it.hehe
Nice blog. =)
Hi Ed. Yes the 1,800 is for one Diamond Peel session at Clarity. But you may want to call to check if they increased their rates already. Cheers!
Great.. Thanks a lot! I’ll give it a try this week at Clarity SM the block.hehehe
More power Apples! =)
Ed - Glad to be of help. Let me know if you’re happy with it. I actually should be thinking about going back to have my monthly done.
I’m planning to get my first DP today, I’m really nervous, so I spent a good few hours just rummaging the net for comments from those who’ve experienced it. Confused na ko which facial center to visit…
I doubt may Clarity here in my province…but I’d try it too once I’m back there.. ^__^
how about products after treatment? do they recommend their own products for maintenance or is it Ok to continue using my own? I use Clinique po…
peaches - they will not force you to purchase their products, which is good really, unlike others who force it down your throat. They actually advise you what needs to be done, or put on as a result of the treatment - which is mainly a lot of SPF and no exfoliation for a few days. And whatever brand or product that works for you should be fine.
