Meme: Friday Secret# 2

Friday Secret# 1

Years ago, I made out with my best friend. All our friends used to tease us that my best friend and I somehow looked great as a couple (even if we werent) and we always denied it - until now. Just the idea used to drive his girlfriends into a jealous fit often causing us to not speak to each other while he and his current girl were together. There was one time though while he was in between relationships, that we went on a drinking session, drowning our sorrows with “2 bottles - so to speak. The 2 bottles remained just that but the bull session turned into a make-out one. It was an on-again off-again sort of thing. One you would liken to a FUBU. And although it seemed like we would be the perfect couple, it just did not make sense for both of us. The feeling that we were better off as friends was mutual. To put our conversation into words, well we think too much alike. He would know what I would think even before I myself thought of it and thats just scary for both of us. I mean, where is the mystery in that? Anyway, we remain friends until now. Our families are friends until now. Aint that great?

The never ending battle of the sexes

I was just browsing through weblogs when I chanced upon Cylan’s post via Pinoyblog. His most recent entry enumerated a man’s needs to make a woman happy. I am assuming this post was not published for anything other than amusement purposes (it reads like one of those forwarded emails). Anyway - the funniest thing really is towards the last part of the post, the lines read…

HOW TO MAKE A MAN HAPPY:

1. Leave him alone

For one, I agree just for sheer truth of it (ask my husband). Second, I just wanted to add number 2. How do you make a man happy? - I would reply: Make life easier for him. And if you say duh at the end of reading this post then I would ask - are you a man?

:D

Disclaimer: No offense intended by author just like Cylan.

World Pyro Olympics 2007

I just came from watching the fireworks display at the World Pyro Olympics at the Mall of Asia and have some pictures to share.

No, I did not win the tickets but my husband did so I got to go too. He met with several other photography hobbyists like himself. They were there to share and learn from each other at the same time taking a stab at creating front page pictures of the fireworks display. The countries that were scheduled today were US and Spain.

Disclaimer: I am not a photography hobbyist like my husband so bear with me as I share with you my attempt at capturing the colorful fireworks that I saw at the MOA.

USA

Spain

More pictures here at my Gallery.

Glitch

I just learned from Yuga that there was glitch with this site. Apparently I was one of the first few people who won the raffle in the Pinoy Urban Blog for the Pyro Olympics Tickets but he couldn’t leave a comment on my blog so he had to give it to another blogger. So that’s why I did not receive any comments (assuming people actually visited my blog). Anyway - its fixed now so everything’s fine.

Meme: Friday Secret

Meme - an information pattern, held in an individual’s memory, which is capable of being copied to another individual’s memory.

Memes as I found would be anything from quizzes to photos to questions of the day to anything really thought provoking that you can use for your blog or journal. There are a lot of meme sources out there that can give you topics to blog about. One site of interest that you can visit would be The Memes List. From all the sources that I have browsed and questions that I have read, I found one that piqued my interest. See Gigi’s Site. However, I would not even attempt to be as brave as Gigi so I chose to customize her meme and make it my own.

Friday secret (meme). Everyone has a secret. What is yours? Im sure there is one you have not told your best friend, your husband, or your mom. Wanna read about my secrets? Stay tuned then.

Friday Secret#1: I had my first relationship(boyfriend) at 14.
My parents were strict. It was basically all study study study at that time. We were not allowed to watch tv or go to slumber parties like other normal kids. They used to say that they will allow me to have a boyfriend when I turn 18. But I managed to get myself hooked with a neighborhood boy that I met through my brother who played basketball in the village courts. My parents still remember my first boyfriend that I introduced to them when I was 18 years old (I hope my mom doesn’t read this!) - Hehe. :)

What’s your Friday Secret?
