Yes its true. But to clarify further, I did not fantasize about cheating, rather I had a strange dream the other night about cheating. And guess who the guilty person was? ME! It was so vivid and so unforgettable, I can still recall the events that unfolded in my dream. I can still see myself sneaking off to meet my lover in a place that felt so familiar yet I know I have never seen it before. I can still recall the anticipation of being with my lover and the excitement and adrenalin rush brought on by the deceit.
HALT!
That is not me at all. I cannot imagine myself indulging in such a relationship where I am actually the initiator. I love my husband too much. I love my kids too much.
Weird…

Hi ApplesH –
I stumbled upon your blog post and thought I’d chime in. You are certainly not alone, lots of people have dreams of infidelity and cheating. Dream meanings are ultimately subjective, but many experts believe dreaming of being unfaithful to your partner, or having a dream of your partner being unfaithful to you, actually means quite the opposite; that you are confident and secure in your relationship that you, or your spouse, would never be unfaithful.
Hope this relieves some of your concern! If you ever have trouble sleeping, or want to learn more and improve your dream recall, check out my site http://www.smartersleeping.com.

hmmm, yeah, that’s weird…. but most of the time our dreams are brought about by our subconscious thoughts…..
think about it….
I like Patrick Courtney’s explanation above…
Don’t be too hard on yourself, it’s just a dream.
Thanks for that insight Patrick! I like the way you explained my dream. And I really love my sweetie.
Brazenlass – I hope not!
MegaMom – I know! Not to be too hard on me but I wrote about it because a whole day had gone by and it was still on my mind. Maybe because I kept thinking about it. Oh well. Its gone now.
dreams could be symbolic and it doesn’t necessarily mean literally. patrick was right. it could be the opposite.
sometimes dreams could be a stress-relief too… which means, it doesn’t have meaning at all… it’s just releasing your stress.
Hi Janet! That explains it. I must admit I am stressed (from work).
That’s weird.
Jim – Yeah. It is.
Isn’t it crazy how our dreams have this huge affect on us?!
Hope your stress level improves.
Dette – My stress level is at its highest. Mainly because things are quite hectic at work right now and I have had no opportunity to relieve the stress. Dreams are fine with me… I love dreaming. And yes dreams have a huge effect on us… and that i hate.
